Ziv Koren has been a professional photojournalist for over 25 years. He began his career as a photographer in the Israeli army. Today, Koren works for the Hebrew daily ”Israel Hayom”, represents “Polaris Images” photo agency in Israel and serves as a “Canon Ambassador” for EMEA. Koren's documentary-projects focus mainly on humanitarian issues around the world. Koren has documented the Israeli Defense Forces for more than two decades including military operations. His award-winning photographs have contributed to many solo and group exhibitions worldwide. Koren's photographs have been widely published in the international media. Writing With Light is his 14th book.
Writing with light
The book Writing with Light focuses its attention on the importance of light as the main raw material in the art of photography. The book Writing with Light was printed in a unique method, called Lay Flat. Each book printed separately and consists two volumes of 80 double-spreads each of which glued together in an innovative method. The final product gives the viewer the experience of browsing the book like in a gallery display, substantially different from any conventional book. The book has been printed in a limited edition of 600 units.
